1. Cabinets
To remove cooked-on grime and give cabinets a polished look, use 1 part vegetable oil and 2 parts baking soda. Use an old toothpaste to scrub it on.
2. Microwave
Heat up equal parts vinegar and water in the microwave to soften residues that has build up inside. Then wipe down with a paper towel or a clean cloth.
3. Linoleum
Use toothpaste and a dry cloth to scrub the linoleum, then wipe away toothpaste residue with a dry cloth.
4. Glass-top Stove
To remove residues off glass-top stove scrap off with a razor blade then wipe off with a damp cloth or paper towel.
5. Windows and Mirrors
Use newspaper to clean your mirrors and windows. It has no lint so it doesn't leave streaks.
NB// Be careful when wiping around vinyl or white frames because the ink can leave marks.
6. Fixtures
Use a paste of 1 tsp vinegar to 2 TBSP salt, to remove hard water stains. Apply then rub with a cloth.
7. Shower Doors
Use a wet dryer sheet, either it's used or new, to scrub the door then rinse off.
8. Clogged Drains
Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into the drain then 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Cover with a drain cover for 15-30 minutes. Pour 6-8 cups of boiling water down to drain to flush down the baking soda and vinegar.
NB// Do NOT mix vinegar with other harsh chemicals such as ammonia, bleach, drain cleaners, etc. This can result in toxic vapors.
9. Toilets
Use wet dryer sheets to remove grime and hard water stains from the toilets then wipe down the antibacterial cleaner.
NB// Dryer sheets are not antibacterial.
10. Carpet
To remove carpet stains, soak stained area with vinegar then sprinkle on baking soda. Let it dry before vacuuming.
11. Walls
Paint over any areas that have stubborn scoff marks.
