Back to school is coming around the corner. For some, like me, school starts next month and for others it starts in September (lucky bunch). This DIY is a easy way to get customized chicness for cheap in your office or study area. And I love the texture and the metallic look that the leather gives.

Materials Needed:

Spray Adhesive
Faux Leather
Cork

Method:

Measure and cut your leather to the size of your cork or to your desire.
Spray the adhesive on the cork then line up and press the leather down of the cork.
Trim any excess materials, if needed.
Allow to dry for an hour to 2 before using.

Recipes

Star Fruit (Carambola) Sorbet

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
2 1/2 lb star fruit (carambola)
1 tbsp. white rum (optional)
1 tsp cinnamon extract
1 tsp mixed spice extract
1 tsp rose water with almond extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 root of ginger

Method:

- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, water and spices. Cook for 5 min. then set aside to cool.
- Puree star fruit and ginger into a smooth consistency.
- Strain fruits, press down until the juice is extracted.
- Combine syrup, juice and rum.
- Freeze in a container over night or freeze in a ice cream maker.
