Easter (Spring) Pet Safety Guide

7:00:00 AM

Like Christmas there are a lot of pet hazards that each owner should be aware about,  especially for cats and dogs. These are the following things that pet owners should be aware of during the spring time.

Chocolate

One of Easter's sweet treats is chocolate. It is more toxic to dogs. Chocolate is harmful to dogs because it contains caffeine and theobromine. Dark chocolate has more toxics in it then white.

Although chocolate is toxic to dogs, cats can consume it.

Xylitol

Xylitol is an artificial sweetener that is very toxic to many pets. It is usually contained in many candies and bake goodies.

Easter Lily and Daffodils

Easter Lily, related to the lily plants, and Daffodils are very toxic to cats when ingested. When ingested, cats can experience, at first, vomiting and lethargy. If it goes untreated this may cause kidney failure which could possibly lead to death.

Always remember, never forget, keeping your pets.

The most important guide is make sure you have information on a 24 hour vet here you, in case of any emergency!
