10 Ways to keep Natural Hair Moisturized

HONEY


1. During the summer and winter add 1 tsp of Honey to your moisturizer or leave-in conditioner. Honey is very hydrating and it draws moist from the air. 


Scarf 

2. At night, cover your hair with a silk scarf or a satin bonnet or sleep on a silk pillow case, this will prevent water loss during sleeping.

CASTOR OIL

3. Seal in moisture with a thick oil like Castor Oil or hair butter on top of your moisturizer.

Mango Butter


4. At night, re-moisturize by spritz hair with water or leave-in conditioner and twisting hair with your favorite hair butter.




STEAMING
5. By steaming hair you open up the cuticles and hydrate the hair


6. A daily moisturizing spritz for the hair is 1 part distilled water, 1 part aloe Vera gel/ juice, 1/2 part glycerin and a few drops of natural oil.

COMBING HAIR

 7. Touching your hair too often will dry it out fast, limit the amount of time you comb or touch your hair.

CONDITIONER

8. If you  have very dry hair make sure you use a thick deep conditioner and after a shampoo wash use a leave-in conditioner  


9. A moisturizer MUST have water as its first ingredients. 


MOISTURIZER

10. . Re-moisturize your Afro or TWA with a spritz at night, and sleep with a plastic cap on.
